Mrs. Goose!
“ Good Afternoon!” Papa shouts as he lands by the river bed.
“Honk!” Mrs. Goose lets out. “ Goodness, what a fright!”
“Didn’t mean to sneak up on you, Mrs. Goose. Little Bird and I had a question for Wilson, But perhaps you can help.”
“ Alright, well go ahead,” she says, gathering back one little gosling who began wandering off.
Papa smiles, “do you know where cougars sleep?” he asks patiently.
“Let me see....” Mrs. Goose starts, fixing her little glasses, “we geese sleep on top of the water. Here we can tell if any danger is coming because it will make ripples. When we feel the vibration we know to check and see what made them.” She says, “ we sleep on the water where it’s safe, but I haven’t the foggiest idea where cougars sleep. Just ask Wilson, I bet he'll know! Wilson knows best!”
“Would you happen to know where he is?” Papa asks Mrs. Goose.
“I believe he said he was going to visit the farm,” she says.
So off Papa and Little Bird flew, over the open fields towards the farm. Little Bird tweeting away, while Papa lost in thought, didn’t notice all the noise. When they arrived they did not find Wilson, but who did they find?
